Here, teams of expert therapists provide a variety of face and body treatments to clients, from the medically oriented styles MedSpa Ibiza built their reputation on, to the holistic, relaxing and aesthetic enhancing based treatments and therapies the Ibiza Balance team are known for.

The three new treatment rooms are airy, all-white, spacious and tranquil – the ideal place to relax and take time out not just for the skin and body but also the mind and soul. VitaminDrip infusions – the core of the original MedSpa Ibiza offering – are still offered in the original two treatment rooms, and while many treatments are services are available on a mobile basis, there are new high-end technologies and equipment in the new spaces that are only available as in-salon treatments.

One treatment room is dedicated entirely to hydrating, anti-ageing and contouring facial treatments, including the popular MedSpa Ibiza therapy Micro-Needling, Hydrafacials and the all-new Thalgo iBeauty system. An innovative piece of equipment that uses sound-vibration as exfoliation, vibrational ultrasound waves and warm radio frequency to help purify and hydrate skin, with anti-ageing benefits. After the treatment, skin is deeply cleansed and rebalanced, much brighter and clearer and free of impurities.
Choose between three new treatments: the iBeauty Skin Purity Reviver – a power 30-minute express experience working to balance the skin and remove impurities with Zinc, dual-sound vibration and sequential ultrasound technologies. The innovative 45-minute iBeauty Hydration Corrector is a dream for those in need of serious hydration. Fusing Hyaluronic Acid and Seve Bleue (an active mineralizing and hydrating ingredient taken from the ocean), sending them directly into the skin’s cells. At the same time, oxygen works to clear the skin and ultrasound technology contributes further to moisturisation.

New at MedSpa Ibiza: Velashape

VelaShape contours, shapes and slims the body by improving cellulite and reducing circumference in as few as 6 treatment sessions. VelaShape is a non-invasive laser procedure that uses Radiofrequency and Infrared Light Energy along with vacuum to shrink fat cells and tighten the skin. Massage therapist and yoga teacher
Having lived in Ibiza every summer for the past ten years, Ingrid joined the Ibiza Balance team in 2015. She strives to improve her client’s lives through the use of different techniques, while continuing to learn as much as she can about the body.

Ibiza Balance I Mobile Spa Ibiza

Ingrid’s specialty is a full body massage experience, fusing different techniques including Thai, Californian, deep tissue and reflex, finishing with a face lift-up. She’s also popular with Ibiza Balance clients for her deeply therapeutic and relaxing massages with energetic healing techniques and is qualified in a host of other styles: holistic, foot, Thai, hot stones, deep tissue, detox and Asian massage.

A qualified Alliance Yoga teacher, Ingrid practices what she preaches, using yoga and meditation alongside swimming and dancing to maintain her own balance in Ibiza. “There are so many magical places here,” she says, citing Es Vedra lookout, Benirras beach, Las, and Cap des Falco sunsets as some of her favourite places.”

JOHANNES
Personal trainer and nutritionist
Passionate about any and every form of fitness, Johannes is as qualified as they come, with degrees in Nutrition and Science, Fitness Economy, is certifications from the renowned Yoga Alliance, Les Mills and more.

After living in Ibiza and working with the Ibiza Balance team for just over a year, Johannes says the highlight of his work is seeing his clients get results, and more importantly, seeing them happy. “For me, every hour is a challenge, but the job is so diverse that I never get bored and I never stop learning,” he says.

In addition to nutritional support, Johannes offers his clients a range of personal training options, including Pilates, Yoga, Body Pump, TRX, Nordic Walking and much more. In his own time, he keeps on the healthy tip, hiking, cross biking or wave surfing (when he can!) and also practices yoga and meditation.

Recent studies have shown what Mesoestetic dermatologists and beauty experts have known all along; over exposure to UV rays is the major cause of premature ageing, wrinkles and irregular pigmentation. The older you get, the more susceptible you are to the adverse effects of the sun’s rays.

What’s your main role as Ibiza Balance Spa Concierge?
Mostly I coordinate between our clients and therapists. I try to find the best fit between the client’s needs and the therapist’s qualifications and experience. I also take care of all the administration for the company.

How long have you been on the island?
I’ve lived here since 2012 – this is my second year working with Ibiza Balance.

What do you like most about your work?
The people and their energy – Ibiza Balance has such a lovely team. They’re amazing people but pure professionals at the same time, so I 100% believe in our service – I’m always sure that new and returning clients will be completely satisfied, and that I will always get positive feedback. It’s a wonderful feeling that really makes me love my job.

What qualifications do you have?
By profession I’m a master of pharmaceutical engineering and at our new base – Med Spa Ibiza in Marina Botafoch – I really have the chance to use my knowledge to improve the service, which I’m very grateful for.

What do you think sets Ibiza Balance apart from the rest?
As I already mentioned, it’s the people, including the clients and therapists, who really make a difference – we have so much confidence in each other. Furthermore, I see Ibiza Balance as one of the most professional companies on the island, without any doubt. We aim to have consistency in everything we do but also to challenge ourselves with new plans and projects.

Do you enjoy interacting with clients?
My experience with the clients has been really nice. Most of them are here on vacation, so they’re looking for treatments to relax and recover themselves, and it’s a great feeling for me to be able to fulfil their needs and help them refresh their energy.

What’s your favourite thing about the island?
Watching sunsets and taking long walks in search of new areas and secret beaches.

How do you maintain calm with a chaotic summer schedule?
In order to balance I usually distance and make a moment for myself. Then I use that moment to do yoga, read a book, take a walk – something that allows me to be left with my own thoughts.
How do you see the island changing in 2016?
I see Ibiza developing rapidly, with the possibility for longer season becoming more likely. Every year more and more people decide to stay and enjoy quiet winter time, so let’s see. Anything is possible on this island.
