Interview with Personal Trainer Johannes
Johannes Personal Trainer & Nutritionist
How long have you been on the island? I’ve been living here for one year, the same amount of time I’ve been with Ibiza Balance.
What are your specialities? Personal training (Pilates, Yoga, weight loss, muscle gain and body shaping, physiotraining), swim teacher, class instructor (Yoga, Body Pump, Pilates, Shape, Back, Aqua, TRX, Relax classes, Nordic Walking), and nutritionist.
What’s the best thing about your job? Working with people, making them happy and seeing results. For me, every hour is a challenge, but the job is so diverse that I never get bored and I never stop learning.
What are your qualifications? I’m just finishing my PHD (Dr.) in Nutrition and Science. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Fitness Economy, I’m qualified as an Assistant Economist for Sport Administration and Sport Organisation, I have a Living-Food-Lifestyle Diploma, Les Mills (Body Pump, Body Combat, Body Balance), Yoga Alliance Anusara Yoga (200 hours) and more trainer licences.
What’s the best thing about working for Ibiza Balance?
It’s reliable and clear structured with a nice team and good clients.
And how would you describe those clients? Very good, reliable and friendly. I’ve always felt very welcome and like a friend, not just staff.
What do you like to do during your free time on the island? Hiking, cross biking or wave surfing. I love the quiet and peaceful places where you are still alone even in the main season.
How do you maintain your own personal balance? Yoga, meditation, and by eating a lot of fruits and vegetables. I also make sure I get enough sleep.
